Venue hunting has proven to be an extremely tough! In an ideal world, we’ll have a fabulous Western reception venue with a gorgeous chapel AND Chinese catering…in reality who knew Chinese catering is so expensive these days???????? And what on earth is up with the rates of venue hiring??????
Anyway, the hunt continues.

It’s kind of weird how you’ve been planning your wedding since you were a little girl…and then when it actually comes down to it now that you’re a big girl, you realise you still don’t have a clue.
There’s been so much pressure to start booking a venue and a date so people can start booking plane tickets…and everyone is suggesting things and wanting to have their say…
Oh dear, the wedding stress already begins.

On the 17th of May, the few of us with doggies participated in RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk! It’s held in a few states in Australia- and the humans (a.k.a dog owners) pay a participation fee which goes towards funding the RSPCA and their activities.

In Melbourne, the walk was around Albert Park Lake…way too long if you ask me!
Che (pronounced ‘Shay’)- Junni’s Patterdale Terrier puppy (you say ‘Patter-what?’).

You can tell his personality by his chewed up collar!
Patterdale Terrier puppies look like Jack Russell Terrier puppies when they’re small but they look different when they grow up- Patterdales have longer legs! Plus Patterdales are mainly all black with only a bit of white on their chest/paws, whereas Jack Russells are white with some brown/black markings.
Jel’s gorgeous Pav (short for Pavlova)- looking a bit forlorn for some reason here.

Ness and Ian’s so very handsome Pomeranian Knuckles.

Taz with Daddy!

Star Wars dogs!

Che making friends with a Jack Russell Terrier puppy we met while taking a rest. Same same but different!

Tazzie enjoying his walk with Mummy!

All together now! (Taz taking a short break to help speed things along- he walks too slow!)

Hello finish line! Don’t know who was happier to see it- the dogs or the humans.

Thanks to Bud for the photos!

Two weeks ago Vinh, Taz and I drove up to Bendigo to visit Ning who was working at a vet clinic there.
She cooked us a really nice dinner- prawns + french beans and a veggie Japanese curry with rice. All my favourite things! (Thanks, Ning!)

We ate, drank a good dessert wine, watched old Futurama episodes on DVD and had a good long talk before we had to chase her to bed as she had to get up early for work the next day.

It was really fun being in Bendigo- just good to get away every now and then from where you are!
I’ve never been able to go on holidays with friends and go interstate or anything like that and I thought I was missing out…but seriously, after this trip I realise you can really just drive out to the country or head down to the suburbs for a day or overnight…and that short period of time away from the hustle and bustle just re-energise you and helps renew your perspective on life
Totally recommended!
